Alabama 2019 walk-on quarterback commit, Stone Hollenbach, suffered a left wrist fracture on last week.

Hollenbach was having an impressive season so far leading the Southern Columbia Tigers to an impressive 4-0 start. Hollenbach and the Tigers are coming off of a state championship season. They are still in very good shape to make another run as Hollenbach has plans to return this season.

“I have decided to go through surgery now,” Hollenbach said. “So I can be 100 percent for playoffs and make another state championship run. I also want to be 100 percent when I go to Alabama to compete.”

The Pennsylvania-native announced his commitment to the Tide in August. He referred to the opportunity to play for the Tide as something that he always wanted.

“I know just from listening to players that are there now and from the past, that whatever I plan to do after, I will be successful with,” Hollenbach said. “Hopefully I will be lucky enough to continue football after college. I know whatever I decide to do, I’ll be successful. That’s just how coach Saban runs his program. I am just excited right now. I am going to go there and do whatever he asks me because I know this is something I have always wanted.”
