Top-rated betting site has UA with best odds of winning 2019 CFP title

Marvin Gentry - USA TODAY Sports

Odds Shark is playing with big money and it hopes to have the right school.

One of the nation’s top sports betting sites has the University of Alabama football program landing the best odds to win the College Football Playoff National Championship in the upcoming season.

Information was shared via Twitter on Wednesday morning as Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide boasted odds of +205, which was higher than Clemson (+240), Georgia (+700), Ohio State (+900) and Oklahoma (+1400) among other institutions

After retooling his coaching staff for a second straight time, Saban believes he has the teachers and recruiters to get Alabama back on top. When it comes to returning talent, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa starts the conversation.

The junior set multiple school records last season and has the potential to be even better. All of his wide receivers return – including former five-star Jerry Jeudy, who posted 1,315 yards with 14 touchdowns and won the Fred Biletnikoff Award.

Alabama has experience in its backfield with Najee Harris and Brian Robinson Jr., and the arrival of true freshman Trey Sanders will get a lot of attention. Its offensive line has the capability to be an elite group, while its defense looks to return to being a ferocious bunch.

Other schools may be benefitting from offseason chatter; however, it is never a wise thing to overlook the Tide. History has shown this program responding in a big way after a national title game loss or not getting to the championship stage.

This season will be fun to watch.
