2014 NFL Draft Recap: Defensive Players (Podcast)

Baltimore and Green Bay have become the franchises that stock up on Alabama talent. Before the draft, the Ravens had Terrence Cody and Courtney Upshaw. With the addition of CJ Mosley, Baltimore’s defense has an instinctive linebacker. Packers head coach Mike McCarthy wants his secondary to be physical with receivers. Ha Ha Clinton-Dix will look to bring his ball skill, instincts and physicality to Lambeau Field and compete.

Vinnie Sunseri has made it through the gauntlet. He’s rehabbed well from an ACL injury and was drafted in the 5th round by the New Orleans Saints. The Saints secondary is known for getting torched by opposing quarterbacks, Sunseri will look to make a difference there.

Ed Stinson and Jeoffrey Pagan didn’t jump off the page, but they excelled in their particular role. Both players were drafted to teams that fit their skill set.

After breaking down the  players that signed as free agents, Touchdown Alabama Magazine’s own Scott and Stephen M. Smith were back live on the S&S show discussing the Tide’s defensive players who were drafted.
