Safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix keeps playoff hopes alive for Green Bay Packers

Mike DiNovo-USA TODAY Sports

Two former Alabama defensive backs owned the month of November with exceptional play.

While Landon Collins looks to deliver a playoff berth to the New York Giants, Sunday’s dose of action in the National Football League belonged to Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. After recording three interceptions last month, the Green Bay Packers’ safety picked off quarterback Matt Barkley twice in a 30-27 win over the Chicago Bears.

He aided a defense that created four turnovers, allowing Aaron Rodgers a chance to put together a game-winning drive in the fourth quarter. Clinton-Dix managed to kill to birds with one stone, in having the team lead in interceptions (five) and moving to third in total tackles (65) after his outing against the Bears.

His efforts closed the gap on Detroit’s lead over Green Bay in the NFC North. The Packers, now 8-6, are a half game behind the Lions with two match-ups left in the regular season. Now on a four-game win streak, Clinton-Dix and Green Bay will meet up with Detroit on Jan. 1, 2017 at Ford Field after facing Minnesota next week.
