Practice report: UA defensive line looks for marquee performance versus Missouri

Alabama assistant coach Craig Kuligowski going through practice with defensive linemen for Arkansas: Brian Pride - Touchdown Alabama Magazine

As much as this is an important weekend for Alabama head coach Nick Saban to secure a win inside Bryant-Denny Stadium on homecoming, defensive line coach Craig Kuligowski was mic’d up today in practice as he wants this front group to destroy his former employer.

Prior to his arrival to Tuscaloosa, Kuligowksi was a long-time assistant at Missouri under Gary Pinkel and behind him, the Tigers’ defense produced a multitude of National Football League draft picks – including Kony Ealy, Shane Ray, Markus Golden, Sheldon Richardson and Michael Sam.

Kuligowski helped Missouri have one of the Southeastern Conference best defenses in 2013 and 2014, as it advanced to the SEC title game both years.

While Saivion Smith settles into the left cornerback role, yours truly of Touchdown Alabama Magazine focused more so on the big boys for the final day of media viewing practice.
