After recording a career performance against Jacksonville, Derrick Henry has the Titans’ offense rolling as he powered the franchise to a 17-0 win on Sunday over the New York Giants.
The third-year running back from the University of Alabama posted his second 100-yard outing of the season, totaling 170 yards with a pair of touchdowns on 33 carries. Henry continues to plow through wimpy tacklers and averaged 5.2 yards a carry. While his longest run went for 22 yards, the former second-round pick had eight attempts that went for first downs or scores.

In keeping the guarantee that he made to the press, head coach Mike Vrabel is seeing the formula of success for the Tennessee Titans to make the playoffs.
Due to relying on Henry, the offense has taken pressure off Marcus Mariota and the defense has started playing well.
Not only did he outperform the second overall pick from this year’s draft – Saquon Barkley – but Henry also shortened the game, not allowing Eli Manning and the Giants’ offense many possessions.
He entered the matchup with 848 yards from scrimmage; however, the 2015 Heisman Trophy winner now has his first 1,000-yard season. Henry stands at 882 yards rushing and 136 yards receiving for a total of 1,018 yards through 14 regular season games.

Behind him, the Titans are 8-6 and still alive for a postseason berth.
