Touchdown Alabama Magazine got its start in 2007 as a full color glossy print magazine. Since that time, we have been the leader in everything Alabama Football. Our writers are some of the best in the industry and provide the best analysis, coverage, and insight for fans of Alabama football. Touchdown Alabama has a unique relationship with former players of Alabama and you can find their stories and interviews exclusively on this site. Since its existence, Touchdown Alabama has covered every practice, press conference, game, SEC Championship, National Championship, Heisman ceremony, and NFL Draft in which Alabama players are in attendance.
Touchdown Alabama Staff:
CEO, Founder and Publisher, Bennie Bice III, is a 2009 graduate of The University of Alabama. He started Touchdown Alabama in 2007 the year Nick Saban was hired while a student at Alabama. With the help from his parents, and the little money he had saved, Bennie was able to print his first magazine issue that fall. With the help of friends and others who believed in his dream, the magazine grew and took off from there. Now, Touchdown Alabama Magazine can be purchased at a variety of stores such as Books A Million throughout the state of Alabama, and many more.
CFO, Director of Photography, Cedric Mason, came aboard as a Photographer in 2011 and loved the product. He and Bennie became close and he invested in the magazine and in 2012 became a partner. Cedric has captured some of the biggest highlights during Alabama’s most recent championship run. His photos are some of the best content and are featured exclusively on the website and magazine.
COO, Editor in Chief, Brandon Williams, is a 2007 graduate of The University of Alabama. Brandon is in charge of the online operations of the website. In addition to his operations role, Brandon provides intriguing stories and interviews on former Alabama players in the “Catching Up With” series.
Managing Editor, Jessica Temple, Started working for Touchdown Alabama in 2008 as the Managing Editor and held that role through the 2010 season. She graduated from The University of Alabama in 2001 where she minored in Journalism and wrote for The Crimson White and Dateline Alabama. She comes from a huge family of Alabama fans. She also currently works as Advertising Manager for North Alabama for TDAL.
Senior Football Analyst/Columnist, Stephen M. Smith, is a 2015 graduate of The University of Alabama and native of Marion, Alabama. He has covered the Tide for Touchdown Alabama since 2009. Stephen is the host of the S & S Show Podcast, a radio personality, and his vast knowledge of the X’s and O’s has made him one of the best in the industry. In addition to TDAL, Smith has been featured as a staff writer for Pick Six Previews (FWAA) and SB Nation.
Senior Staff Writer/Columnist, Larry Burton, is a member of the Football Writers of America Association (FWAA) and was the most read SEC and Alabama football writer during his time at Bleacher Report. He has been credentialed by all the major bowls and the University of Alabama. Larry provides some of the best insight in the business through his “Larry’s Lowdown” segment with TDAL.
Associate Editor/Columnist, Clint Lamb, is now an associate editor for TDAL after joining the staff in 2016. In addition to TDAL, Clint’s work has been featured on Bleacher Report, SB Nation and Saturday Down South. Clint is the host of The Crimson Blitz podcast which will begin airing in July.
