Coach Nick Saban updates injuries on Damien Harris, Bo Scarbrough

Alabama running back Damien Harris (No. 34) being helped off the field after ankle injury vs. Kent State: Roderick Mason - Touchdown Alabama Magazine

TUSCALOOSA, Ala.| Apparently, Kent State watched Alabama’s game against Mississippi. The Crimson Tide had a couple of players to sustain injuries, including ArDarius Stewart (knee)—who did not play this week.

Coach Nick Saban’s alma mater got a little chippy, which resulted in Calvin Ridley, Damien Harris, Marlon Humphrey and Bo Scarbrough getting banged up. All four players were hurt in the first half, with Harris being carted off the field. After its 48-0 win over the Golden Flashes, Saban took the podium to update all injuries.

“The only real injury that we have is Damien Harris,” Saban said.

“He has an ankle sprain and will be listed as day-to-day. ArDarius Stewart will probably start doing some work this week. He and Robert Foster will still be questionable this week’s game. I know we had a couple of other guys come out of the game, but they all went back in with no problems.”

According to Saban, Scarbrough suffered a thigh bruise. He could have gone back in, but the coaching staff decided to hold him out. The 6-foot-2, 228-pound sophomore was spotted on a stationary exercise bike, upon emerging from the medical tent. Alabama will return to practice on Monday to start game prep for Kentucky.
