For most rookies finding chemistry with new teammates can be difficult and could delay progression in some. For Landon Collins it appears that he is ahead of the curve and has found a teammate that he works best with.

That player would be former Norte Dame cornerback Bennett Jackson. Jackson played four years for the Irish and played in the 2013 National Title game in which the Crimson Tide won their 15th National Championship. Jackson was drafted in the 6th round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

The only thing that could stop this duo from playing on the field is Jackson’s health. He missed Saturday’s practice with a sore calf and his availability this week in joint practices with the Bengals is unclear.

Collins has already made it known that he likes being on the field with Jackson. Collins said earlier this week, “I feel like when we’re on the field together we just look at each other and know what’s going on.” he said. “Once we get that part of it and we’re on common ground, our vibe just kind of meshes together.”

Crimson Tide fans know that Collins has the talent and ability to become a star NFL safety. If this duo can keep the chemistry flowing and grow together, then these safeties could cause many tough games for opposing quarterbacks.
