The Southeastern Conference has talented quarterbacks returning to college football.

We may see many of them next week at the Omni Hotel for SEC Media Days in Dallas, Texas. People are excited to hear from Steve Sarkisian (Texas) and Brent Venables (Oklahoma) as new head coaches in the conference. Several eyes will be on Kalen DeBoer as he will take the podium for the University of Alabama on Wednesday, July 17. Jalen Milroe, a junior, is back as one of the most experienced signal-callers in the conference. The native Texan led the Crimson Tide to an SEC Championship and a College Football Playoff berth in 2023. He looks to lead the Tide to a national championship and capture some individual awards.

Milroe is an incredible leader, but is he only the third-best quarterback in the SEC? According to a graphic from Ryan Brown, co-host of the Next Round Show on WJOX 94.5 FM in Birmingham, Ala., two other SEC quarterbacks are ahead of Milroe.

Carson Beck of Georgia and Quinn Ewers of Texas have garnered more attention. Brown has Beck at No. 1 and Ewers at No. 2.

Milroe defeated Beck in the 2023 SEC Championship Game, but lost to Ewers in the regular season. He will face Beck again for Alabama's fourth game of the season at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Milroe could avenge his loss to Ewers in the SEC Championship Game -- if Texas makes it -- or in the College Football Playoff. The former four-star is ready to let everyone know he is the top quarterback in the conference.
