One draft is done; however, people tend to focus much on the future.  Todd McShay, an NFL Draft expert for ESPN, is one of few analysts that has already started putting together a Way-Too-Early mock draft for 2020. While many media outlets have the University of Alabama placing seven guys in the first round, it all…

It is a big question. He has suffered injuries and looks like it has even effected his mechanics some. Hope he can recover and stay healthy we need him.

I think we have forgotten that we have done very well with “ good” QBs ... we have been spoiled of late. If Tua were to go down we would be fine with Mac because we have the BAMA FACTOR back... Run run run and play DEFENSE! No knock on Mccarron or McElroy or Coker ... very good QBs but Mac is just as good as them he just needs reps.

This is very true!!

Now I feel like a spoiled brat whose mother just broke it down to him.

We have seen quite a few championships and championship contending teams with game manager qbs.

Need that defense to step up and be the center point of the team for that to work though.

Well put Sherri. I think it may have even scared Coach a bit with how special Tua is. It's like driving a Lamborghini for the first time (I don't own one btw (g)) you don't realize how dynamic it is and it's a bit overwhelming. Tua is a Lamborghini and Coach is used to driving very good, reliable cars. That's a big step.

Interesting point. A lot of us thought Jalen was that new toy, but he was very conservative with the ball, just dynamic in the run game. Saban always loves those guy's who don't make mistakes or even try to much. Tua will slang that rock and Saban probably has a mini heart attack every time ?

Despite the injuries that Tagovailoa had last season, a lot of it is geared toward things that are a by-product of football. With him being a first-year starting quarterback, it was a whirlwind for him and he had to compartmentalize everything.

Also, injuries are inevitable. No matter how much people try to make the game safe, football is a violent game and players want to go all out. Tagovailoa is a fierce competitor and Saban does not want to take that away from him; however, he must do a better job of protecting himself.
