Although Nick Saban told reporters that Saturday would be a practice for Alabama at Bryant-Denny Stadium, he did mention that there would be some game-like situational plays.
According to close sources, here is what happened in terms of quarterbacks in the second scrimmage.
Â
-Mac Jones scored on every drive against the first-team defense and did not turn the ball over. He completed almost every pass.
"Mac was awesome out there," one source said.
-The redshirt junior threw three touchdowns in the Crimson Tide's first scrimmage of fall practice.
-Paul Tyson and Bryce Young both went against the second-team defense; however, Tyson performed better.
-The redshirt freshman scored on two drives and nearly completed all of his passes, without an interception.
-As for Young, the talent five-star had a rough outing.
-After missing the first scrimmage, Young had two interceptions and several 3-and-outs on a bunch of drives.Â
-Coach Saban had the 1's vs. 1's and 2's vs. 2's this week.
