One of the best defensive backs during the Nick Saban era for Alabama is back in the National Football League.

Eddie Jackson, a South Florida native, has agreed to a one-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the news Friday as Jackson is returning to the field.

He enjoyed seven seasons (2017-23) with the Chicago Bears after getting selected in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Jackson was a two-time Pro Bowl selection (2017, 2018) and first-team All-Pro selection in 2018.

He made the 100 Greatest Bears of All-Time list after a career of 459 tackles, 44 pass breakups, 15 interceptions, 10 forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries, and six defensive touchdowns.

Jackson is now reunited with his former Alabama teammates, Derrick Henry and Marlon Humphrey, in Baltimore. He played with both guys on the Crimson Tide's 2015 College Football Playoff National Championship team. Jackson led Alabama's secondary with five interceptions that season, including two returned for touchdowns.

He made first-team All-SEC in 2015 and was the Defensive Most Valuable Player in the 2016 CFP National Championship matchup versus Clemson.

Jackson is now back playing the sport he loves.
