Danny Sheridan, handicapper and sports analyst for USA Today, spoke to the Mobile Bar Association for the twenty-ninth straight year, and he dropped a few tidbits for fans as the college football season nears. Some of these tidbits include:
— The SEC Champion will make the College Football Playoff with two losses
— The remainder of the College Football Playoff field will be Baylor/TCU, Ohio State, and the Pac-12 Champion
— At a minimum, 11 SEC teams will go to a bowl in 2015, and all seven teams in the SEC West will earn a trip to a bowl.
— Something has gone badly wrong if Alabama quarterback Jake Coker does not start against Wisconsin
— The wide receiver corps at Alabama will be better than expected
— Alabama punter JK Scott is a big weapon for the Crimson Tide
— The Auburn Tigers have the best offensive line in the conference
— The Ole Miss Rebels have the best defense in the conference
— Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett is as good as former South Carolina Gamecock Jadaveon Clowney
