Coming in at #8 in our Top Ten Most Wanted is another mammoth individual, this time on the offensive side of the ball, in offensive tackle Willie Allen.
New Orleans, LA (John Curtis HS)
Offensive Tackle
5 Stars
At 6-foot-7, 300 pounds, Willie Allen has the frame to be an asset for a college team along the offensive line. His run-blocking skills are unbelievable. On most plays, he just runs over defensive linemen, clearing a way for the ball carrier behind him.
Left tackle is the most coveted position on the offensive line, and Willie’s film shows why he has held this position for John Curtis for so long. He uses a four-point stance to fire off the ball and tallies more pancakes than Aunt Jemima.
Touchdown Alabama Recruiting Analyst Justin Wagner states: “Willie Allen is a massive kid with outstanding length to be a collegiate left tackle. He moves well for 6-foot-7, 300+ pounds, and he plays nasty which is fun to see. With some polishing, the ceiling is very high for Allen.”
Although he will need to work on his technique in pass-blocking to make it at the next level, Willie Allen has the tools to become an absolute force when the time comes. He excels at getting to the next level and taking his assignment completely out of the play. This is the type of player Alabama offensive line coach Mario Cristobal loves to have in the rotation.
Allen holds close to 30 offers and is being recruited to Alabama by running backs coach Burton Burns and Mario Cristobal.
