Baltimore’s veteran quarterback Joe Flacco suffered a rough season opener against the Denver Broncos Sunday. The former Super Bowl champion threw for 117 passing yards and was intercepted twice. Flacco completed 18 of 32 passes, resulting a 56.3 percent completion.

Ex-Alabama player C.J. Mosley started this year with a bang. The former first round pick of the 2014 NFL Draft accounted for six tackles, two tackles for loss, two sacks, two quarterback hurries and a pass defended. Mosley’s six tackles tied him for third on the team.

A 19-13 loss hurts, but the Ravens are more concerned about its defensive captain, linebacker Terrell Suggs. Suggs is a leader in the huddle and in the locker room. He was carted off the field, after sustaining a torn Achilles. Suggs will miss the remainder of the season.

Mosley must now take command.

Baltimore will travel to Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum next week to face the Raiders.
