Cardinals’ veteran quarterback Carson Palmer got the better of Drew Brees in Sunday’s game between New Orleans and Arizona. Palmer totaled 307 passing yards and three scores on 19 of 32 attempts. John Brown, Darren Fells and David Johnson each caught a touchdown pass.

Former Alabama standout and current Cardinals’ safety Rashad Johnson came up with a pivotal interception in the third quarter. Arizona led New Orleans 14-13, prior to Johnson’s takeaway. The Cardinals outscored the Saints 17-6 in the second half, securing a 31-19 win.

Johnson recorded one tackle and a pass defended to go along with his interception.
