Alabama’s defense dominated last week in its 34-0 shutout win over Louisiana-Monroe; however, it was not enough to move Alabama forward in the USA Today Coaches’ Poll.

Arkansas and Vanderbilt nearly pulled out stunning upsets over Texas A&M and Mississippi.

Florida handled business against Tennessee, securing a 28-27 victory. Seven Southeastern Conference programs remain in the top 25, including Alabama at No. 13. A showdown with Georgia next Saturday will be a crucial game. Alabama must find an identity on offense.
