Dial was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the fifth round (157th overall pick) of the 2013 NFL Draft. He helped the 49ers reach an NFC Conference title game against Seattle in 2013, despite losing the match-up. Dial became an asset last season, totaling 59 tackles, 2.5 sacks and a pass defended.
San Francisco has decided to keep its hand on the former Crimson Tide standout, signing him to a three-year extension according to ESPN staff writer Paul Gutierrez.
Dial’s extension is set to go through 2019.
