Alabama fans everywhere are pleased with Cowboys’ president Stephen Jones.
Former Alabama linebacker Rolando McClain was set to hit the NFL’s free agency market Wednesday; however, Dallas intervened. The Cowboys and McClain agreed to a one-year deal worth $5 million, per ESPN. McClain, 26, looks to have found a home in Dallas after off-field issues released him from Oakland and having an early retirement at Baltimore.
He has been stellar in the last two seasons with the Cowboys, totaling 108 tackles (2014) and 97 tackles (2015) respectively.
McClain chimes in with 18 tackles for loss, three sacks, 15 quarterback hurries, eight pass breakups, three interceptions and a forced fumble in both seasons combined. He turns 27 this July and is set to make next year’s defense a force to be reckon with.
