He was one of Alabama’s better defenders in three seasons at cornerback, but now Cyrus Jones prepares for a career in the National Football League.
The former Crimson Tide standout has his schedule planned out for April, as he intends to visit four teams and work out for two franchises prior to the upcoming NFL Draft.
Aaron Wilson, NFL writer for the National Football Post, said Jones will visit the Ravens, Eagles, Bills and Saints. The two private workouts will be for Tampa Bay and Carolina.

Four of the six teams in question—Ravens, Saints, Buccaneers and Panthers—need a cornerback, with Tampa Bay highlighting the position as a “top need” on its draft board.
Jones projects as a day two pick, who could come off the board within the third or fourth round. He’s accounted for 106 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 25 pass breakups and seven interceptions during his tenure with the Crimson Tide.
