His decision to chose Alabama over Georgia, Florida and Tennessee appeared to be the right one in the Crimson Tide’s 38-10 win over Western Kentucky on last week. True freshman running back B.J. Emmons finished second in rushing, totaling 41 yards on six carries (6.8 average).
Emmons, a native of Morganton, N.C., scored his first collegiate rushing touchdown with 4:27 left in the fourth quarter against the Hilltoppers. He grabbed the toss sweep from Jalen Hurts, and followed his offensive line to the left side for a six-yard score. After enrolling at Alabama on June 1, Emmons started to impress the coaching staff and his teammates with his skill set and effort.

The 6-foot, 206-pound back was an unanimous four-star prospect from Freedom High School.
