It didn’t take long for the Alabama standout to sign a new deal.
The Los Angeles Chargers cut him two days before the free agency deadline — March 9 — but on Saturday, offensive tackle D.J. Fluker inked a one-year contract with the New York Giants. News came from NFL.com reporter Mike Garafolo, as he states that the former 11th overall pick will be able to reset his career.
Fluker was a dominant right tackle under Nick Saban at the University of Alabama from 2009-12. Prior to being taken in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft, he earned three BCS national championship rings.
