In regards to contract details, NFL insider Ian Rapoport tweets that Lacy’s deal is worth $5.5 million with $3 million guaranteed. Prior to weight issues limiting his production in the last two seasons, Lacy posted 1,000-plus yards rushing in both 2013 and 2014 for the Packers. He was the National Football League’s Offensive Rookie of the Year and an All-Pro selection during his rookie season, following an output of 1,178 yards and 11 touchdown on 284 carries in 2013.
Before the Packers took him with the 61st overall pick (second round) of the 2013 NFL Draft, Lacy was marquee back at the University of Alabama (2009-12). His four-year career ended with 2,402 yards rushing and 30 touchdowns on 355 attempts in 38 games. He was a first team All-SEC selection in 2012, while earning three BCS national championships and two Southeastern Conference championships.
