Update: Former Tide LB Reuben Foster failed drug test at NFL Combine

Former Alabama LB Reuben Foster (No. 10) sacks Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly in 2016 game: Cedric Mason - Touchdown Alabama Magazine

Per Ian Rapoport from NFL.com, former Alabama linebacker Reuben Foster failed a drug test at the NFL combine for a diluted sample. Hoping to be a first-round pick in this year’s draft, he was a unanimous All-American and Butkus Award winner last season as the nation’s best linebacker.

Last season, he led the team with 115 tackles — including 13 for loss and five sacks.

He came to Tuscaloosa as a five-star recruit in 2013 and eventually became a major force on the Alabama defense. Foster already ranks in the top five of best Crimson Tide  linebackers that Nick Saban has coached, and he’s expected to be heavily evaluated on draft day.

The former Crimson Tide linebacker can only hope that his stock won’t be affected because of his off the field issues. Football experts and I can only say that this is not good news and hopefully a team will give him a shot.
