Former Tide defensive tackle Jarran Reed investigated for domestic violence

This not the news for Seattle Seahawks’ or Alabama fans to hear.

According to a report from King-TV News in Seattle, Wash., former Alabama defensive tackle and current Seahawk Jarran Reed is being investigated for an assault of a woman that happened in late April.

News broke early Tuesday morning, as the domestic violence case has been opened. 

Per the news site, the Seahawks have not filed a comment on the situation and investigators are looking into the matter. Reed, who was selected as a second-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, recorded 34 total tackles – including 1.5 for loss and 1.5 sacks during his rookie season.

He played two years under head coach Nick Saban at the University of Alabama, accounting for 111 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss, two sacks, eight quarterback pressures and seven pass breakups from 2014-15.
