Alabama’s 2017 NFL Draft class has its second contract signed.

Following cornerback Marlon Humphrey of the Baltimore Ravens, the New York Giants inked former Crimson Tide defensive tackle and second-round pick Dalvin Tomlinson to a four-year deal. News broke Wednesday evening via Twitter from Art Stapleton, who covers the Giants via The Record Sports in New Jersey.

Tomlinson’s contract is worth $4.57 million, which includes a $1.465 million signing bonus.

Prior to being selected in the draft, the Georgia native turned in a solid career as a rotation player/starter on Alabama’s defensive front from 2012-16. He fought off injuries and personal hardships to have a productive senior year. The 6-foot-3, 312-pounder totaled 62 tackles – including 5.5 for loss and three sacks through 15 games in 2016. Tomlinson has been pegged to replace Jonathan Hankins, who is now an Indianapolis Colt.

He along with the remainder of the Giants’ 2017 rookie class will report to minicamp on Thursday.
