Today we give thanks to mothers around the world. At Touchdown Alabama Magazine we’d like give out a special thanks to those who have had a hand in Alabama’s success over the past few years.
We’d like to start it off with Jessica Carr – mother of Tide safety, Hootie Jones – whose is fighting Stage 4 Lymphoma. Hootie has started a GoFundMe account for anyone interested in making a donation to help with the expenses of his mother’s treatment. #FightLikeJessica
Dee Dee McCarron (AJ McCarron’s Mother)
Despite the Spite: April Justin (Landon Collins’ Mother)
Shondra Ingram (Mark Ingram Jr.’s Mother)
Michelle Green (Amari Cooper’s Mom)
Cam Robinson’ Mother (Who was just surprised with a new car for Mother’s Day)

And, of course, Terry Saban – who has helped raise their kids so that Saban can be the coach he is.
The list doesn’t stop here. It could go on and on forever. On this day, we want to say thank you to the parent’s of those who have come and gone at Alabama and the wives of those who helped raise their kids so that they could be the best they could be on the field.
Finally, a special thank you to the mothers of some of our own:
Stacie Weaver, Ruby Smith, Cathy Lamb, Lavonne Cannady, Deborah Bice, and Sandra Henley.
We may not always show it, but without you we wouldn’t be where we are today.
Happy Mother’s Day!
