Alabama defensive back Deionte Thompson eyes starting job at safety

He’s been nothing short of remarkable at slot corner or Star (nickel and dime) and at safety, but Minkah Fitzpatrick longs to return to being a true, outside coverage cornerback. The five-star prospect played the role in high school (New Jersey) and it was the spot he was initially recruited to play in 2015.
