Football reigns supreme in Tuscaloosa, Ala., but for Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban, he wants his players to be just as loyal to the community as they are to the gridiron. While Alabama takes the stage for Wednesday’s portion of SEC Media Days, several players donated their time on Tuesday to Grace Presbyterian Church in providing care for families at a food bank.

Among the participants involved were running back Najee Harris, quarterback Mac Jones and wide receiver Chadarius Townsend of the Tide’s 2017 top-ranked signing class.

Linebackers Joshua McMillion and Mekhi Brown, along with receiver Mac Hereford helped as well. All six guys greeted everyone with a smile, helped prepare food, and made sure the individuals that came were taken care of.

While Saban and company is scheduled to begin fall camp in August, it’s always a pleasant sign to see a number of individuals care about the people around them.
