After bringing a wealth of knowledge as an in-studio analyst and holding his own as a member of SEC Nation (travel crew for games), SEC Network’s own Greg McElroy is quickly moving up the ladder.
Along with doing ABC/ESPN game assignments on Saturdays in fall, the former Alabama quarterback is also linking up with ex-LSU defensive star Marcus Spears to launch a weekly football show called Thinking Out Loud – which will air on SEC Network every Monday at 7 p.m.
Not only will the 2009 Southeastern Conference and BCS national champion be a presence on SEC Now and other ESPN platforms, but he was also one of five analysts that signed a new deal with ESPN.
According to a press release from ESPN Media Zone, McElroy joins Dusty Dvoracek, Rod Gilmore, Brock Huard and Tom Luginbill to ink a fresh contract with the “Worldwide leader of sports.”
