Luke Ford took a visit to Tuscaloosa on Saturday to visit The Capstone and watch The Crimson Tide take on the Arkansas Razorbacks. He declared that it was an amazing experience.
Ford is an ESPN 300 prospect. He is the No.3 tight end in the nation according to ESPN and garners a 4-Star rating from most recruiting outlets.
The Illinois native shared via Twitter that his visit to Tuscaloosa was a success.

Auburn, Arkansas, Georgia and Florida have all offered Ford, but Alabama may have an advantage over all of them
Alabama’s offensive coordinater, Brian Daboll, had worked with one of the best if not the best tight ends in the entire world, Rob Gronkowski, and could help Ford develop if he chooses to come to Tuscaloosa. The New England Patriots used tight ends in their offense in a variety of ways during Daboll’s time there. Daboll’s knowledge about the tight end position could help Ford lean toward the The Crimson Tide.
It is easy to see why this guy is one of the nation’s top recruits. The 6’6″-245-pounder is a huge weapon in the pass game. He is able to use his height to battle for the ball in the air and his speed to turn those catches into points.
Alabama does not have a tight end in its 2018 recruiting class at the moment. The Tide’s 2018 recruiting class is largely defensive players, but there are still some talented offensive player on the board and plus there has been buzz about some possible flips. Things could get interested.
