CFP Breakdown: Four elite pass rushers entering both semifinal matchups

Jason Getz - USA TODAY Sports

Three weeks separate us from the College Football Playoff after today, and with practice starting Friday for the University of Alabama, head coach Nick Saban is ready to begin prepping.

While all four offenses involved – Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma and Georgia – are no strangers to lighting up scoreboards, defense will serve as a primary factor. To pair alongside quality defensive backs and linemen that can two-gap well, the quartet for this year’s playoff run boasts some of the most elite pass-rushing specialists in the nation going into the venue.

For offensive linemen, running backs and quarterbacks, there are four names that play callers must be aware of when it comes to consistently not having a disruption in rhythm.

Listed below are four elite sack specialists for the playoff, starting Jan. 1, 2018.
