In what has been an extremely disappointing rookie season for the former Alabama standout, ArDarius Stewart was able to more than double his season receiving total during today’s Week 17 matchup with the New England Patriots. A 46-yard pass from Bryce Petty in the fourth quarter caught the Patriots’ defense by surprise and Stewart capitalized:

Fans have expressed their displeasure in how the coaching staff has used Stewart this year. For a team lacking in playmakers, the Jets’ desire to use him solely for end-arounds and sweeps is incomprehensible. Perhaps this play will be enough to prove his value heading into next season.
