After carving out a legacy as one of the greatest to ever play in Tuscaloosa over the past three years, Minkah Fitzpatrick’s dreams of going pro has finally been realized. The Miami Dolphins have taken ‘Fitzmagic’ with the 11th pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Fitzpatrick’s position as a pro has been widely discussed and is yet unclear, but his versatility and playmaking ability will keep him on the field regardless. Over his three seasons in the crimson and white, he racked up an incredible 171 total tackles – including 16.5 tackles for a loss and 5.0 sacks – nine interceptions, four touchdowns, two forced fumbles, and 24 pass deflections.
At 6’0″, 204 lbs., Minkah has the size and speed to play at either safety or corner, and can even become a hybrid linebacker with a specialty in edge rushing. The future seems bright for the New Jersey native.
