Alabama’s 2019 quarterback commits, Paul Tyson and Taulia Tagovailoa, will both participate in the 2018 Nike Elite 11 finals this weekend. The event will take place throughout the weekend in Redondo Beach, California.
Nike’s Elite 11 pits some of the top rising senior quarterbacks from across the nation against each other in a highly competitive environment. The event will include on-field drills, routes-on-air, classroom instruction and off-field development. The top performers from this weekend will continue on to the Nike Opening Finals.
The last Alabama quarterback to attend the Nike Elite 11 finals was Taulia’s brother, Tua Tagovailoa. The event has hosted many other elite quarterbacks, including Drew Brees, Ben Roethlisberger, Carson Palmer, Tim Tebow and Jameis Winston. The event also hosted 11 of the last 12 Heisman winning quarterbacks.
