UA athletics to take over SEC Network programming on July 24

© Kirby Lee - USA TODAY Sports

After hearing from players and coaches on SEC Network next week, Alabama fans will have their recorders dialed in for Wednesday, July 24 as the Tide takes over SEC Network.

The scheduled programming, which starts at 12 a.m. ET, will feature 10 marquee moments from Alabama athletics during the 2017-18 year and a flashback moment from 1981. Football, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s track and field, softball, gymnastics, baseball and women’s soccer all will be highlighted.

According to a release via rolltide.com, the Crimson Tide’s football matchups versus Clemson (Sugar Bowl) and Georgia (CFP national title) will end the takeover at 7:00 and 9:00 p.m.

For the Tide, its 24-7 win over the Tigers set up a chance for it to face the Bulldogs in the national title game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Despite struggles on offense in the first half, it was a 41-yard connection between Tua Tagovailoa to Devonta Smith that delivered a 26-23 win.

As exciting as it was to see Collin Sexton, Tagovailoa, Smith, Demi Turner, Hannah Cook, Nicki Guerrero and others all shine in person, it doesn’t hurt to relive it again on television. SEC Network has the schedule for all 14 schools, beginning on July 23 with Georgia and ending with Florida on Sunday, Aug. 5.
