Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts drops 2018 hype video

Marvin Gentry - USA TODAY Sports

Even with all the chatter surrounding him, it has nothing but work for University of Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts throughout the summer. Whether it’s been at the Manning Passing Academy, recording new weight training goals or even throwing passes to former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens, the native Texan has stayed busy in trying to be ahead of the curve.

As the Crimson Tide arrive for fall camp next week, Hurts released a hype video for the upcoming season. After one interception in 2017, the two-year starter anticipates taking more chances while proving to national media that he can help Alabama be explosive on offense.

The one-minute video featured some of Hurts’ best moments against Florida State, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Colorado State, LSU, Arkansas and Clemson. Although sophomore Tua Tagovailoa has garnered all attention for Heisman possibilities and is the popular choice to start for the Tide, the rising junior and once four-star prospect is not running from competition.

He’s totaled 4,861 passing yards with 61 touchdowns in two seasons and looks to show the college football world that he can deliver the program to a national championship. With Michael Locksley running the offense and the combination of Josh Gattis and Dan Enos helping him with Hurts, we are in for an entertaining year to say the least.
