Alabama defensive back target, Noa Pola-Gates, set his commitment date for Jan.19 at the annual Polynesian Bowl in Hawaii. His commitment will air on CBS. The exact time will be released as more information becomes available.

Gates took a visit to Tuscaloosa on last month for the Tide’s first Champion’s cookout of the summer. He was excited to get down to Tuscaloosa and was even more excited to have his father accompany him. Alabama did not disappoint.

“It was amazing,” Gates said. “I got to kick it with players and had a long conversation with the Dean of School of Music and the Director of Music Composition. I also got to talk to coach Saban a lot.”

The Arizona-product wants to have a career in music and was very impressed with the Tide’s musical program.

“The school of music wasn’t just talking classical and orchestra type of music,” Gates added. “Alabama wants to be cutting edge and work with all genres.”

Alabama currently has 3 defensive back commits in their 2019 recruiting class and Gates would be a nice addition. It’ll be interesting to see who makes moves in his recruitment with their being so much time in between now and his decision date.
