2020 defensive back, Malachi Moore, has announced his verbal commitment to The University of Alabama.
Moore is a 4-Star recruit and is ranked as the No.1 defensive back in Alabama for the 2020 recruiting class. Alabama offered Moore in June after a great camp performance. He return to Tuscaloosa for the second champion’s cookout of the Summer.
“I mainly talked to coach Karl Scott and coach Key and I also met with coach Saban,” Moore said. “They were basically all saying the same thing like they were glad I was back on campus and they can’t wait to get me on board.”
His teammates: Paul Tyson, Pierce Quick and Dazalin Worsham were already committed to Alabama. They put on their recruiting hats as soon as Moore received his offer.
“They told me to commit as soon as I got the offer,” Moore said.
Moore was also excited to receive his initial offer.
“It means a lot,” Moore said. “Alabama has such a big legacy of winning and a history of putting defensive backs in the league.”
It is easy to see why this guy is regarded as one of the top defensive backs in the nation. He can run stride to stride with wide-outs and he knows how to use the sideline as a second defender. Moore also has no problem with coming down and defending against the run.
Alabama now has a total of seven commits in their 2020 recruiting class. Moore is the second 2020 defensive back to commit to Alabama. He makes this class that much special.
