After handling the first four regular season games on its schedule with relative ease, the University of Alabama football program is about to enter its second quarter of matchups.
A meeting with Louisiana will begin its next stretch of games, as Nick Saban faces a former assistant for a second straight week in Billy Napier. The 39-year-old served as offensive analyst and wide receivers’ coach, mentoring Amari Cooper, Christion Jones, DeAndrew White, Kevin Norwood and Calvin Ridley.
Following his lone season in 2017 as offensive coordinator at Arizona State, Napier is building a program with the Ragin’ Cajuns that he hopes will be successful.
