The No.1 inside linebacker in the nation, Nakobe Dean, was awarded the Mr. Mississippi award for the 6-A region on Wednesday.
Dean racked up 134 tackles, 6 sacks, and 3 interceptions during the regular season. He also helped the Horn Lake Eagles secure a playoff spot after an undefeated season. Although, the Mr. Mississippi award is a prestigious one; Dean wasn’t aware of it.
“I honestly did not even know that it was an award,” Dean said. “But I feel very blessed and honored.”
