Tagovailoa and Tyson Part 2
Hewitt-Trussville and Thompson both won their first-round playoff games and will compete in the second round of the AHSAA 7-A playoffs.
Thompson and Tagovailoa took down Florence in the first round 45-14. The Huskies knocked off James Clemens 43-41. Tyson threw the game-winning touchdown with less than 30 seconds left in the game.
Their first matchup was a shootout that resulted in a 63-49 Thompson win. Tagovailoa threw for 264 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also added 152 yards on the ground. Tyson was 14-of-23 for 275 yards and three touchdowns.
This matchup will once again include six Alabama commits, but this time it is win or go home.
