As Alabama wrapped up Orange Bowl Media Day on Thursday, four of the Tide players locked arms in unity as they made sure that everyone knew they were from Florida.
Xavier Mckinney, Patrick Surtain, Xavier Williams and Jerry Jeudy were in that group. The Crimson Tide will take on the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday in Miami Gardens, Florida. This gives the Florida products on Alabama’s roster a chance to spend time in their home state, which they rarely get to do. Jeudy believes this experience is great for him and his family.
“It means a lot to be back at home and have more family members at the game,” Jeudy said.
The weather in Miami was fairly warm as the Tide prepared for the Sooners. For the Florida products, this was just a mormal day back at home, but for other Tide players it was something to behold.
“It is amazing,” Alabama defensive tackle, Quinnen Williams said. “I have never been to Miami before. They have great weather, great people and great food.”
