Round three of Tide and Tigers for CFP title, Christian Miller update

Upon finishing practice in Tuscaloosa, Ala., on Friday, Nick Saban and the University of Alabama football program will take the plane to Santa Clara, Calif.

The first two national championship meetings between the Crimson Tide and Clemson Tigers went down to the wire.

While the Tide came out victorious in the 2015 season, it was Tigers’ quarterback Deshaun Watson that would not be denied in the following year.

Next week should present an exciting trilogy at Levi’s Stadium, as Saban goes after his seventh national title of his coaching career – which would elevate him over Paul W. “Bear” Bryant. Regardless of the scoring abilities that both offenses bring, the biggest question will be on whether or not Christian Miller plays.

The senior outside linebacker for Alabama is still “questionable” for the matchup, per Saban.

He suffered a pulled hamstring in the Tide’s 45-34 Orange Bowl win over Oklahoma in the second half and did not return to action inside Hard Rock Stadium.

Miller did not do much on Tuesday, but he progressed through Wednesday and Thursday.
