Potential transfer options for QB Jalen Hurts; two major schools in play

Matthew Emmons - USA TODAY Sports

Since entering the NCAA transfer portal this week, Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts has been contacted by a multitude of different schools for his services.

The recent graduate of University of Alabama delivered the Crimson Tide to a 35-28 comeback win over Georgia in the Southeastern Conference Championship Game in December of 2018, and showed tremendous improvement in the passing game throughout the season.

He recorded a few career milestones under Nick Saban – including SEC Offensive Player of the Year as a freshman in 2016 and being tied for third all-time in touchdown passes with 48.

Hurts, a native of Channelview, Texas, has a huge decision to make as he is scheduled to visit two marquee programs this week in Miami and Maryland.

With Saban trying to take care of things on the home front and Hurts going through recruiting again, here are some potential landing spots for the exceptional athlete.

Two of them appear to be prominent destinations.
