Alabama made some recruiting moves in Florida on Thursday and one of those moves were offering 2020 defensive tackle, Warren Brinson.
Brinson is a product of IMG Academy. Jeff Banks, Alabama’s special teams coach, informed Brinson of his offer on Thursday. The Tide’s offer came with some flattering words from Banks.
“He said he liked my motor and my size,” Banks said.
At 6-feet-4-inches and 290 pounds, Brinson size speaks for itself.
The defensive line has been a pivotal part of Alabama’s run over the last decade. The Tide has produce the likes of Daron Payne, Quinnen Williams and Terrance Cody. The development of these guys has caught Brinson’s attention and he said he feels he knows why many recruits want to be in Tuscaloosa.
“It is crazy,” Brinson said. “When you think of the defensive line, that is where everyone wants to be. To have this opportunity, is a true blessing”
The IMG product verbally committed to Georgia in November. His connection with a special member of the Bulldogs’ staff gave him the confidence to commit to the program at that point in time.
“Coach Trey Scott played a huge role,” Brinson said. “He is an amazing person.”
There is no visit date set for Brinson to visit Alabama, but he does plan to do so soon. Touchdown Alabama Magazine will keep you updated on Brinson’s recruitment.
