He wants to make his mother proud and Isaiah Buggs did that all week in preparing for the Reese’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala.
Despite not coming in at the 6-foot-5 height (6’2”) that was listed on him at the University of Alabama, the former Crimson Tide star and junior college transfer remains a monster of a talent.

He dominated various drills throughout practice and earned the award of Defensive Lineman of the Week from Jim Nagy, executive director of the Senior Bowl.
“He was the guy for the South team that was really difficult to block,” Nagy said on Buggs. “They [North] did a lot of 3-man blocking combos and run game stuff. He really stood out.”
The Louisiana native posted just three tackles on Saturday, but was a standout in two seasons with the Crimson Tide totaling 102 career tackles.
Buggs led Alabama in sacks (9.5) during the 2018 campaign and finished second in tackles for loss with 13.5. He would also collect six quarterback pressures, three pass breakups and two forced fumbles through 15 games.
Buggs appeared twice in the College Football Playoff, helping the Tide capture a national championship in 2017.
His next mission is to show out at the NFL Scouting Combine.
