Jah-Marien Latham enjoyed his Saturday visit to Tuscaloosa for Alabama’s Elite Junior Day event.

Latham is a 3-Star defensive tackle in the 2020 recruiting class. He committed to Alabama on Nov. 19. The Pickens County product spent some time with several fellow Tide commits on Saturday and also got a chance to speak with Alabama’s head coach, Nick Saban.

“It was awesome,” Latham said. “I had a great conversation with coach Saban and I also got to build a stronger relationship with the rest of the Alabama commits.”

Saban spent some one on one time with his second of two 2020 defensive tackle commits. The National Champion coach displayed his excitement for Latham’s commitment.

“He talked about how happy he was that I was coming and what type of program they have and just was telling me about the school in general,” Latham said.

The High School football season is over and spring is approaching, which means several recruits will take their talents to highly competitive camps to improve their game and see how they stack up against the best in the nation. Latham’s spring will be no different as he plans to attend three.

“I plan on going to the Rivals Three Stripe Camp, the Nike Opening, and the Under Armour camp.”

Latham is also one of the six in-state recruits Alabama has verbally committed in their 2020 recruiting class. Him and his fellow in-state brothers will look to out number the Tide’s 2019 recruiting class, which currently has six in-state signees and one in-state commit.
