Even with the individual awards he accomplished last season, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa ended 2018 without something he wanted: a national championship.
Coming up short versus Clemson will prepare him for spring practice and next fall, as the rising junior intends on getting the University of Alabama back to the College Football Playoff.

He tweeted a hype video to social media on Monday with the caption “Been through a long road of hard aching pain.” The video showed a compilation of Tagovailoa’s plays from the 2018 season, which consisted of him tossing for 3,966 yards and 43 touchdowns to six interceptions.
The native Hawaiian holds both single-season school marks for passing yards and total touchdowns (48), while finishing last year as a Heisman finalist. He returns as a player with something to prove and an individual that’s hunting for a national title as a starter.
